Building the AI-Ready Infrastructure of Tomorrow

At US Signal, we believe infrastructure should empower innovation, not hold it back. That’s why we’re making a significant move to ensure our customers are ready for what’s next.
With support from our parent company, Igneo Infrastructure Partners, we’re investing more than $200 million to expand our national platform. This is not just about increasing capacity. It’s about delivering AI-ready infrastructure that supports the next generation of digital transformation, including AI, cloud, and edge technologies. Read the press release.
What’s Included in the Expansion
This investment strengthens both our data center footprint and our fiber network. Key components include:
- 3MW of new commercial power at our Detroit Metro Data Center
- 6MW of new commercial power at our Des Moines Data Center
- Over 1,000 miles of ultra-dense fiber and conduit connecting key regions
- New in-line amplification (ILA) sites with containerized infrastructure to enhance long-haul, high-capacity routes
Each of these upgrades adds value on its own. Combined, they form the backbone of AI-ready infrastructure designed for performance-intensive workloads such as AI inference, real-time analytics, edge computing, and hyperscale cloud.
“We’re not just increasing capacity,” said Daniel Watts, US Signal CEO. “We’re building the kind of digital foundation that today’s enterprises and tomorrow’s innovations will rely on.”
Why It Matters
Today’s AI workloads demand more than what traditional data center environments can offer. They require high-speed connectivity, compute power at the edge, and flexible, scalable cloud infrastructure. Many existing systems are not equipped for that level of performance.
US Signal is addressing this need with purpose-built, AI-ready infrastructure that delivers:
- Dense, high-speed fiber routes that reduce latency
- Power-dense data centers built for compute-intensive applications
- Edge-ready platforms that bring resources closer to the end user
- Scalable, secure private cloud environments through US Signal OpenCloud
Whether your team is training AI models, modernizing legacy applications, or looking for an alternative to public cloud, we are building the infrastructure that helps you move forward with confidence.
What’s Next
As business requirements continue to evolve, we are committed to helping our customers stay ahead. This investment allows us to scale regionally and nationally, offer more deployment options, and meet performance expectations for even the most demanding use cases.
“US Signal is becoming a cornerstone infrastructure partner for enterprises and service providers across the country,” said Michael Ryder, Board Member at US Signal and Partner at Igneo. “This expansion is just the beginning.”
