US Signal, Zerto Receive 2019 Backup and Disaster Recovery Award from Cloud Computing Magazine
US Signal’s DRaaS with Zerto honored for improving business processes
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. and BOSTON, May 15, 2020 — US Signal, a leading data center services provider, and Zerto, an industry leader for IT resilience, today announced that TMC, a global, integrated media company, has named US Signal DRaaS with Zerto a 2019 Cloud Computing Backup and Disaster Recovery Award winner, presented by TMC’s Cloud Computing Magazine.
The Cloud Computing Backup and Disaster Recovery Awards recognize technologies and vendors that have built cloud solutions that empower businesses, small or large, to remain active and productive under even the most challenging conditions, minimizing lost business opportunities.
Cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and wider reaching, and natural disasters will soon be on the rise. Recently, a court in Texas was hit by a ransomware attack that shut down its websites and disabled servers, and hospitals and research facilities are being heavily targeted in the age of COVID-19. In addition, the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season, starting in June, is expected to be above-average, with 16 named storms, including eight hurricanes. As more companies experience cyberattacks and natural disasters with greater frequency, US Signal’s DRaaS with Zerto provides the necessary tools to meet business needs.
US Signal’s DRaaS with Zerto solution leverages Zerto’s IT Resilience Platform and is available as a fully-managed or self-managed solution to fit organizations’ applications, business requirements and budget. Fully-managed disaster recovery is set up, monitored and maintained by US Signal engineers and includes documented recovery time objective (RTO) and recovery point objective (RPO) SLAs, as well as a detailed Disaster Recovery Playbook. Self-managed disaster recovery allows businesses to replicate to one or more US Signal purpose-built DRaaS cluster, using US Signal’s licensing or the company’s own existing perpetual enterprise licensing with Zerto.
“By partnering with Zerto on DRaaS, we’re able to provide customers with the tools they need to ensure their critical IT workloads are always available -- and that it’s simple to recover from an outage, cyberattack or natural disaster,” said Matt VanderZwaag, executive director, product, US Signal. “This honor comes in the wake of our new Greater Detroit data center opening to extend our disaster recovery and overall data center service offerings. We are excited to be recognized by TMC’s Cloud Computing Magazine, as this validates that our joint DRaaS solution is truly making an impact and helping to keep businesses up and running during even the most difficult of times.”
This first-class offering from US Signal and Zerto also includes significant enhancements to traditional disaster recovery, including enterprise license mobility, multi-cloud replication, and stretch layer 2 failover, helping businesses maintain maximum availability of their critical applications and achieve true IT resilience.
“We’re proud to receive this award alongside our valued partners at US Signal,” said Emily Weeks, director of cloud sales and alliances, Zerto. “This recognition highlights the value of the Zerto IT Resilience Platform, which is based on the foundation of continuous data protection provided to our partners and customers. In a time when more people than ever are working remotely with the need to stay connected and productive, organizations need to be confident in their ability to withstand any disruption. We are proud to work with US Signal to offer solutions enabling businesses to achieve IT resilience and seamlessly maintain their business continuity.”
“Recognizing excellence in the advancement of cloud computing technologies, Cloud Computing magazine is proud to announce US Signal’s DRaaS with Zerto as a recipient of the Cloud Computing Backup and Disaster Recovery Award,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “US Signal and Zerto are being honored for their achievement in bringing innovation to the market, while leveraging the latest technology trends.”
