Looking Back to See What’s Ahead
It’s a new year and new decade. A lot of exciting things lie ahead at US Signal as we continue to help our customers keep pace with changing technological and business needs.
New Detroit Data Center
The big news in 2020 includes the opening of US Signal’s Detroit Metro data center. purpose built to provide the robust colocation and cloud services that enable digital transformation, it’s conveniently located near the Detroit Metro Airport and major transportation routes. Watch for details about the grand opening, and don’t miss the opportunity to be among the first to reserve your space by taking advantage of this special.
Website and Application Security Solution
Of course, 2019 had its share of significant developments too. On the new product front, US Signal added to its managed security line up with the introduction of a managed website and application security solution that filters unwanted or malicious traffic before it ever hits a customer network. It’s offered in two service tiers to meet the needs of small companies as well as large enterprises.
It was a particularly timely launch given the findings of US Signal’s 2019 State of Web and DDoS Attacks survey. Among them: 81% of respondents had experienced a cyberattack on their web applications in the past two years. Nearly half experienced several cyberattacks.
DR Solutions and Enhancements
US Signal also debuted DRaaS for VMware, a new Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution running on VMware technologies. Powered by VMware vCloud Availability, it offers simple, more secure, and cost-effective onboarding, migration, and disaster recovery services for multi-tenant VMware clouds.
US Signal’s Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) with Zerto offering saw four significant enhancements as well: self-management, enterprise license mobility, multi-cloud replication, and stretch layer 2 failover.
There was also big news for customers using Veeam Availability Suite 9.5. With US Signal’s Cloud Availability for Veeam, those customers can now seamlessly back up and replicate to an offsite US Signal data center — creating ultimate availability for any disaster recovery (DR) plan, with no additional licensing fee.
Beers with Engineers
One of US Signal’s most successful endeavors in 2019 one that we’re continuing this year as well — was Beers with Engineers. The quarterly networking and educational meetup allows IT professionals to discuss trends, technologies and other topics with local colleagues over a beverage. There are no sales pitches; just insightful discussions and information sharing. The events are held at cities throughout the Midwest.
Beers with Engineers has been a great way for all of us at US Signal to better understand the issues that are top of mind for the people on the frontlines of implementing and maintaining IT.
